3D Loading
Thanks to 3D graphics, the correct loading of the vehicle is simulated. This programming makes it possible to identify the suitable positioning and ordering of the goods within the loading plan, respecting the constraints and rules related to both the goods and the vehicle.
Fraunhofer IML validation
In 2023 Onit obtained the Fraunhofer IML validation for On.Plant/TMS.
The important German research institute, part of the largest applied research organization in Europe (Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft), has certified the quality of the software that allows the planning and optimization of shipments, enables tracking of trips in real-time and facilitates communications within the transport network.
Description
The 3D Loading software allows you to optimize the loading of vehicles and see their 3D simulation, thus supporting the work of the logistic or administrative office.
Usually built-in in the company ERP, it allows you to manage customer orders and specific product data with the relative loading rules, easily adapting to the most diverse planning needs: packages, pallets, platforms, trucks, containers, railway wagons, ferries.
Advantages
- Increases the saturation of the loaded vehicle
- Reduction of transport costs, thanks to more reliable size estimates
- Reduction of time spent on order planning
- Improvement of the efficiency of loading procedures
- Greater readability of load planning documentation
- Simplification of information exchange with the company ERP
The 3D Loading features that improve your work
Manual/automatic scheduling
The loading proposal is automatically generated by the system based on the constraints and loading rules set up. Thanks to the editing functions it is possible to manually modify the load plan generated, so as to make it suitable to the operator's needs.
Multi-level plan
The loading plan can be generated on several levels, thus guaranteeing a single solution even in cases of complex loading scenarios such as, for example, pallet on truck, package on pallet or piece on package.
Dimensions, weight and allowed rotations
The weighted volumetric characteristics and permissible rotations of each product, all registered in the system, are essential in order to guarantee a correct loading plan together with the other parameters required by the master data.
Overlap indexes
For each load units a maximum weight value can be established that the unit itself can bear in case of stackability. Furthermore, for each orientation, the units can be configured as "to be positioned on the floor only", "not to be stacked on top of others" or "not to be positioned on the floor".
Priority and longitudinal ordering
The application can manage the load list according to different logics. The products can be grouped along the depth of the platform in the case of an unloading order or in such a way that a type of product is loaded only to complete the previous ones in the list.
Balance control
It is possible to check that the weight on the floor in units of length remains below a certain predetermined value or that the center of mass is included between certain values. A very important feature, especially for containers.
Proportional Load
Loading with proportional logic allows particular kinds of products to be loaded in a well-defined ratio, as for example happens for tables and chairs, in a ratio of 1 to 4.
Loading guide for warehouse operators
At the end of the load planning, the software returns a document to be distributed to the loaders with well-defined instructions.
